I was born into a musical family in Tomah, Wisconsin. My parents had a band as I was growing up. I learned to play the drums and the 5-string banjo. I played in cover bands for most of my life. Of the 2 instruments I play, I would have to say I am most passionate about the banjo. I am a huge fan of Bluegrass music.
I started my radio career in 1990. I attended the Trans American School of Broadcasting in Madison, WIsconsin. I secured a part-time job doing overnights on weekends at WWQM while at the end of my schooling. I also worked at WJVL in Janesville, Wisconsin, WWQM for a second time and WOLX in Madison. I then moved back to Tomah and eventually ended up here at COW97. Altogether, I’ve spent almost 20 years in radio. I then took about a 10-year hiatus from radio. I came back here to COW97 in June 2021.
