We held our 3rd Annual Radiothon and raised $40,401 in just 2 days to bring hope to the children of St. Jude. Thanks to everyone who donated time, food and money to help us reach this goal this year!

COW 97 COUNTRY CARES FOR ST. JUDE KIDS HONKY-TONK
COW 97 COUNTRY hosted its first ST.JUDE RADIOTHON HONKY-TONK fundraiser at the Colonial Bowling & Banquet Center in Sparta. Pat Watters and TEXXAS entertained the crowd and people went home with over 70 country music collectibles. Over 30 of them were autographed by some of the biggest stars in country music. The Grand Prize was the "STAR GUITAR" which featured 38 autographs

TRACE ADKINS CONCERT - February 2008
COW 97 COUNTRY welcomed TRACE ADKINS & JASON MICHAEL CARROLL to the LaCrosse Center on February 16th. To kick of the concert day, COW 97 COUNTRY hosted a Pre-Concert Party at Coconut Joe's in downtown LaCrosse.

2008 SNOWFLAKE SKI JUMPING TOURNAMENT - Westby
COW 97 COUNTRY, 105.5 THE ZOO and ESPN 1290 were proud sponsors of the 2008 SNOWFLAKE SKI JUMPING TOURNAMENT in Timber Coulee near Westby. We took our shows on the road to broadcast live from the site of the tournament. We talked to judges, ski jumpers and members of the Snowflake Ski Club.

Packer greats Leroy Butler, Gilbert Brown and Santana Dotson enjoyed an afternoon on the Julia Belle Swain as they traveled down the Mississippi River with fans and friends. COW 97 COUNTRY was proud to be part of the event aimed to raise money for Leroy's Breast Cancer Treatment Foundation.

KARAOKE IDOL III FINALS
10 Finalists put on quite the show at the KARAOKE IDOL III Finals at the Colonial Bowling & Banquet Center in Sparta on Friday, September 7th. In front of a packed house, these singers sang two songs and five judges evaluated their performances. Each finalist received a cash prize along with a great prize from BUDWEISER & BUD LIGHT. Congratulations to PAULA LEUM from Westby who was crowned KARAOKE IDOL III CHAMPION!

MEDIA DAY FLOOD RELIEF FUND DRIVE - LaCrosse Center
COW 97 joined forces with all other local media groups - radio, TV and print - to raise money for the flood victims of Western Wisconsin and Southeast Minnesota. This tragedy affected so many people that financial aid was needed immediately. Due to the great support of the general public the one day effort raised almost $400,000 for the area flood relief.

2007 MONROE COUNTY FAIR - Recreation Park - Tomah
COW 97 COUNTRY thanks everyone who stopped by our booth at the MONROE COUNTY FAIR in Tomah. We set up our studio at the fair and talked to exhibitors, sponsors, Monroe County Ag. Society Board members and fair-goers. Highlights included our Karaoke Idol III competition and a special broadcast on Saturday with Orion Samuelson.

COW 97 COUNTRY congratulates everyone involved with the 117th LACROSSE INTERSTATE FAIR on a great event. COW 97 COUNTRY reported from the Fair each day with interviews with exhibitors, fair officials and special guests. COW 97 COUNTRY NIGHT - LACROSSE LOGGERS BASEBALL GAME
It was COW 97 COUNTRY NIGHT at the LACROSSE LOGGERS baseball game at Copeland Park in LaCrosse, WI on July 7th. Along with live broadcasts, 50 lucky ladies got to race in the "SHOP 'TIL YOU DROP" game where they ran onto the outfieldand grabbed a bag full of goodies including some lucky winners who won a coach bus trip to TANGER OUTLETS in Wisconsin Dells.

CRABBY PANTS FESTIVAL 2007
COW 97 COUNTRY was a proud sponsor of a brand new music festival in Kendall, WI on June 16th. The 1st Annual CRABBY PANTS MUSIC FESTIVAL featured RESTLESS HEART, BLACKHAWK and TRACY LAWRENCE. Local bands Fiddle Stix & Road Hard & Put Up Wet also performed.

BUDWEISER WISCONSIN DAIRYLAND TRUCK & TRACTOR PULL - Tomah
One of the best truck and tractor pulls in the world takes place each year in Tomah, WI. COW 97 COUNTRY was very proud to be part of this year's event in June. Along with the best pulling COW 97 COUNTRY also co-hosted a KIDS CLUB event along with a VIP tent.
