Huge North Pole Christmas Village on display at the Monroe County Local History Room from November 19 through January 18. The “Christmas Mountain” display features over 100 illuminated miniature buildings from the personal collection of the late Joan Cook of Sparta. Joan was a dedicated promoter of Monroe County history and a passionate fan of the holidays. This “Christmas Mountain” display celebrates both Joan and the magic of Christmastime.
An opening reception for the exhibit will occur on Tuesday, November 19, from 6:30pm-8:00pm. The collection will be on display thru January 18. Museum admission is free.
