Youth Sports Safety Symposium

-Promoting healthy and smart youth sport participation and training through education
-Mayo Clinic Health System and the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse are partnering to host a Youth Sports Safety Symposium. The symposium will bring sports medicine professionals, athletes, parents and coaches together to better understand how to help athletes reach their potential and limit the risk of injuries. Highlights of this event include presentations from a sports medicine physician, sports scientist, athletic trainer and a collegiate coach. Presentations will cover current trends in youth sports pertaining to overtraining, injuries, nutritional strategies and competing at the next level.

-11:00 am-12:30 pm Sport Activity Fair Featuring UW-L coaches and athletes - There will be several games and activities for youth and families - UW-L coaches will be available to meet with athletes and their families
-1:00 pm KICK OFF: UW-La Crosse vs. UW-Stout Football Game - Wear your youth/rec jersey for free entry to the game
