-Children's Immersion Workshop
-It is time again to pack a backpack and head for the hills! In this fun, day-long immersion workshop, we will roam the KVR in search of treasures of the fall season: signs of animals preparing for the winter, nuts and roots to gather before winter comes, shelters made of fresh fallen leaves, and so much more. Roaming the fall landscape is something many of us have pleasant memories of; here's a chance for children to make memories of their own! This will be a great time for a group of nature-loving kids to experience fun activities, attunement games, and adventures all focused on helping them acclimate to and enjoy the nature that surrounds us. Ages 8-12 (limit 12). NOTES: Warm boots, gloves and socks are a must! Children should also pack a sack lunch. Instructor: Nicholas Gale is a naturalist who has been teaching outdoor workshops at the Reserve for 6 years. He is a certified Wilderness Guide through a year-long primitive living immersion course. 9am-3:30 pm.
