Tomah Rotary’s second annual Wine into Water event takes place Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Three Bears Lodge Ballroom in Warrens. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and lasts until 7:30 pm.
Tickets include wine, cheese, and chocolate tastings with stir-fry bar. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. The evening’s activities include a live auction featuring a wide variety of handmade art and unique experiences. Beautiful art pieces donated by local artists, Matthews bow, kayaking experiences, gourmet dinners, cooking classes, and handmade quilts are just a few of the auction items available.
Funds raised from this event will support the Tomah Rotary’s International Project in Busulo, Uganda, including initiatives for clean water, self-sustaining chicken farm, educational support, and microbusinesses for women and young men. Last year’s Wine Into Water event raised over $10,000 to support this mission. The funds have already been used in Uganda to provide ongoing clean water, education, and daily meals to over 400 children.
Tickets are $20 each, the cost to provide a child with 20 years of clean water. Tickets may be purchased at the following businesses: Tomah Area Credit Union, All American Do It Center, Clifton Larson Allen LLP, First Choice Realty, Westland Insurance, Holthaus Insurance, Timberwood Bank, First Bank of Tomah, F&M Bank, Brenengen-Tomah and Chitwood Nichols and Matthews.
