One Book, One Community

May 20, 2013 6:30pm - 8:00pm

La Crosse Central & Logan High Schools in association with the La Crosse Public Education Foundation presents One Book, One Community, featuring Newberry-Award-Winning Author, Jack Gantos.

The greater La Crosse community is invited to join public high school English students in reading Jack Gantos' 2012 Newbery-Award winning novel, Dead End at Norvelt.  Melding the entirely true and the wildly fictional, this "brilliant book" (according to Dave Barry), is the story of an incredible two months for a boy named Jack Gantos, whose plans for vacation adventure are suddenly ruined when he is grounded by his feuding parents for what seems like forever.

Mr. Gantos speaks about his work at Logan High School with a book signing and reception to follow. This event is free and open to the public.
