January is national blood donor month and you can help meet the need by giving blood during a drive Thursday, January 10 from 1 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Tomah Memorial Hospital. To donate, a person must be in good health, at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and have photo identification. Donors can call Tomah Memorial Hospital at (608) 374-6605 to schedule an appointment or go on line to www.tomahhospital.org. Walk-ins are welcome. Sixteen-year-olds may donate with parental consent.
